I’d rather not have to scrape ice of my windshield and have about one month of hot days (lucky enough to have AC at home, which isn’t common in the bay area).
You don’t have to scrape ice off of your windshield. There are products now that you can spray on it to melt the ice. Have been for a very long time, over a decade, in fact.

The true point is cold conditions that hurt your skin, but ok. Here I am thinking it’s a bit chilly because my home got to 66° and that works for me.

There are no mosquitos here because there is no standing water. There were mad mosquitos in Kansas despite the cold because there is standing water.
