Yep that’s why it exists. American petroleum engineers and techs working in Arab states where alcohol is banned. It’s also why it’s called that since screwdrivers are used by almost everyone.
If they mention it, complain you don’t make enough and have to buy really shitty, watery orange juice and they should be ashamed that they’ve humiliated you, etc… etc…
Now you get to drink during calls AND you’re making more money.
Um. I don’t remember the last thing I ate that I didn’t make from scratch. I’m in California though, your argument applied more to my neighbors when I lived in Utah. I met this dude who made salsa from all canned ingredients and when he was done it was thinner than water. Nasty shit. Claimed to be from San Diego, but dude was adopted by the whitest whiteys that ever drank bleach.
LPT: blow on your mug of gin and tonic before carefully taking sips.
A screwdriver looks like orange juice when you can’t smell it.

There’s no clear origin to the name. Both tales on Wikipedia refer to using a screwdriver to stir the drink at work.
Huh. TIL.
And I thought Ncuti Gatwa’s version looked weird.
A screwdriver being the thing that drives screws?
Probably not, they likely mean the alcoholic drink
That looks nothing like orange juice

There are some orange juice brands here that kinda look like that. If you squeezed it yourself it’d look pretty close.
If you had something like squash or mi waidi (?) mixed with water it looks the same.
Just one more reason to have a low-resolution webcam with washed out colors for Teams or Zoom.
Maybe that’s how it looks in the US. US-Americans don’t consume natural things lol.

No, a screwdriver being a mixture of orange juice and vodka.
