I use a wired mouse even while using my computer from the couch. Actual use would be easier with a wireless mouse but i find the pros of the wired still win. The major con is the wires are always in they way. It gives the area a messy vibe and are always on the floor, interfering with stuff like sweeping or vacuuming, but it beats changing the batteries constantly and eventually losing the dongle. Wired mouses in my experience also tend to be more robust and cheaper, so they survive more drops to the floor than their wireless counterparts. And when that mouse does eventually break, it is cheaper to replace.
