    They don’t care about the canon in the slightest. That has been proven again and again.

    The only reason they use the same names is because people will recognize the name which will increase the chances of more sales. Just as reworking the Gorn to be completely different was about increasing sales.

    Its all about the demographics and maximizing sales by bringing in fans who didn’t like the original Star Trek.

    Roddenberry’s dream died a long time ago, I’m just glad he’s not around to have to see it.

      Nonsense. Changing canon is not an inherently good or bad thing. Sometimes it even needs to be done. It can be done well, like when TOS Klingons were overhauled and replaced with movie/TNG Klingons. And it can be done poorly, like when TNG Klingons were overhauled and replaced with Kelvin Klingons.

      The SNW version of the Gorn is a vast improvement over TOS Gorn, and is a logical progression from the changes introduced by the ENT Gorn.

      What are you talking about the Gorn of supposed to be dangerous according to canon. TOS just had a tiny budget and couldn’t think of anything cleverer than a guy in a suit.
