A nice piece of rye toast or sourdough, some slow roasted garlic smashed up,a sprinkle of salt and pepper, and you’ve got some yummy going on. Hell, go crazy, mash the garlic up with a drizzle of olive oil, some chopped basil, diced olives, and it’s even better.

minus-square@czechlink1•1 year agoYea I do this all the time with one head of roasted garlic to two small pieces of toast. Throw on butter, parm, and salt, and you’ve got simple garlic bread that puts most others to shame.
Honestly, you could get away with this if your garlic was well roasted enough. It becomes sweet and gentle at a certain point.
