It is better to not have Trump, that’s the basic level of desire. The second level of desire is for a better candidate. Sometimes you have to take what you can get.

Sometimes is what centrists say when they mean always.

Sometimes people live in the real world and sometimes people demand utopia and won’t take something imperfect instead.

And so nothing improves like you want.

Ok. Still waiting for your solution other than “no”.

I don’t have one. Guess that means I need to shut up forever and accept the hegemony of two parties that hate me. I’m not allowed to be less than fucking ecstatic that nothing will ever change except for the worse. At least you’re happy.

You took the wrong thing from my argument here. I am suggesting that it’s not enough to just say no, pat yourself on the back, and go home. If you really think no, then there should also be some other yes that you can point to. Saying that there is no option is giving up.

Yes. People are giving up on the United States.

                  No.

You just want me to shut up and pretend that Biden is perfect.

I’m allowed to be unhappy without knowing how to fix a situation that people more powerful than myself have worked hard for decades to make unfixable.

                    K. Put words in my mouth, go on. Also, completely avoid responding to what I said.

Our solution was Bernie. People like you rejected that idea and voted in procorporate trash Biden in the 2020 primaries. The responsibility of finding a solution falls entirely on people who selected Biden as the candidate. Not us.

I voted for Bernie in the primary. I wanted Bernie, he’d have been a better president. Now it would be nice if you could stop attributing things to me that I never said or thought.

Also this “us” stuff really just sounds like projected ingroup behavior.

Then tell me right here and now: What do you think about the people who voted for Biden? Are they selfish pieces of shit who are intentionally fucking over progressives and leftists?

That sounds like projected anger on your part. Not really sure what you’re after, but it’s definitely not my answer. Really, stop putting words in other peoples’ mouths. Stop projecting your fears on to other people. Time to take a breath and touch some grass.
