(update - 15th Feb) KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The mass shooting that unfolded amid throngs of people at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration appeared to stem from a dispute between several people, authorities said Thursday.
Police Chief Stacey Graves said that the 22 people injured in the shooting ranged between the ages of 8 and 47 years old, half of whom were under the age of 16. A mother of two was also killed.
@Jean_Lurk_Picard @forlionsforrest Look at a country with less gun ownership. England for example. There have been several incidents involving knives and multiple wounded. But it does not compare to the quickness and number of injuries. “Guns are a blight” is valid because the number of guns in our community is the difference. Ignoring that is a problem. Having owned or not owned a gun does not qualify someone to have knowledge.
Look at any states with more conceal carry and open gun laws. There is statistically less crime per capita. Owning or not owning a gun absolutely qualifies someone with more knowledge about gun ownership… That seems like common sense to me.
Data from the CDC for gun deaths that you rank per capita by state.
Seems like state with more open gun laws have more deaths via guns, funny that.

@Jean_Lurk_Picard @Gormadt so high and mighty. Crime has many factors (social-economic, population density etc.). Still doesn’t change the magnitude of harm caused by the number of guns (e.g death and injury).
You could say the same for cars. In fact by that logic cars are more dangerous. So let’s get rid of all cars in this country. In fact cars “are a blight”!
@Jean_Lurk_Picard @forlionsforrest That’s a tired diversion. See ya.
See ya come back when you have facts and a logical argument
