    He’s getting nabbed for perjury, that doesn’t exactly make him the most compelling witness for the prosecution. They might feel it’s sufficient for him to admit it, and that will strengthen their case against Trump, regardless of whether he is compelled to cooperate or not.

      Maybe, but if they have him on perjury then they already have proof that he lied so I’m not sure how his admission strengthens the case against Trump more than the proof they already have.
