The difference is that it’s not going to stop anyway because China’s not going to stop burning coal. It’s a global issue, not a local one.

I hate the CCP and think they’re one of the biggest threats to humanity, but China is actually doing a good job of transitioning to renewables.

Also, a lot of the coal they’re burning is to manufacture products for people in other countries. Not really fair to get upset with them making things that would otherwise manufactured in your country.

It’s not tankie, it’s logic. China doesn’t want to rely on oil/OPEC, because they are Western aligned, and Russia is a clusterfuck rn. Becoming energy independent is literally the smartest choice, and their shift to renewables is actually the ONE thing the West should be emulating. It’s time to stop relying on other political actors for our energy needs.

You’re on the UK instance, you should fucking understand exactly why energy independence is needed after the energy pricing crisis you’re dealing with.

You’re probably just trolling, but in case you’re sincere, you should know you’re damaging your own cause.

I’m not anything close to a tankie, you’ll see that if you spend two seconds in my post history. And when you blindly accuse someone like you are in this thread, you just hurt your own cause.
