Waved through meaning, A guy who could tell he was old enough to buy a six pack thought “Whatever, I don’t have time for that shit today.”

I mean airport security is not as secure as it claims. I could see some tired TSA worker waving him through without paying much attention to the ID, especially in a busy airport like Phoenix.

In the EU you used to have within-the-EU flights where you wouldn’t be asked for an ID once. Scan your ticket and there you go. Maybe you bought this PDF off a weird looking guy in front of the airport, who cares. They now check it more often than not, but it still happens you fly without a single ID check.

So, I’d assume for a national US flight it probably makes sense nobody needed to actually track his ID for immigration purposes, and so a short look without a digital scan is enough. And a tired TSA employee just didn’t care at all on that day.

I imagine them thinking that if they didn’t the next two hours will be spent dealing with a crazy person throwing a tantrum and that it’s not worth it

It’s believable. I lost my ID like 2 days before a flight, and my Sam’s membership card was sufficient to get let through.

Maybe twenty years ago. You need RealID now and something tells me that thing doesn’t scan.

Imagine how absolutely fucked these people would be if they managed to get on an international flight with one of these, got turned away by the destination country, then didn’t have the credentials to get back into the US.

…because it looks somewhat like a legitimate US passport page. That says more about the exhaustion and overwork of an airport contract employee than it does about anything else.

If he rejects the government, why is his nationality United States of America? Surely it doesn’t exist?

He looks like the type you see at Circle K in Buckeye at 7 am buying a lottery ticket and holding everyone up from their shitty coffees.

He’s buying scratch-offs and scratching them there at the counter with a line behind him.

Odd… On that card is labelled a photo of Seal, but it looks nothing like him.

He’s not a weird fingerprint dude, he’s black with facial scars. Usually singing a something about roses or something.
