Ah, The Irish goodbye. A classic.
I’ve done this enough that it’s just become known as my “quirk” because everyone knows that I would rather “chew on a cactus and chase it with pure lemon juice” than make small talk at a work “social hour” for more than, like, 12 minutes. Because I told them so.
