“I’m gonna use a word I really shouldn’t use. But people might get mad at me for doing so. But on the other hand, the word is really edgy and cool… That’s it! I’ll just cover up part of the word so people don’t notice I’m using it! I’m so smart!”

Originally in the book it seems to have been “dude”, then someone made a post where they changed it to “nigga”, but it wasn’t censored. Later on someone decided to censor the word. So not the same people at work there (I mean, I think not lol)

Over a popular webcomic’s art so that uninformed backlash may be directed towards the artist they freebooted from

When searching for the first half of the quote I quickly found the uncensored version on ifunny… (like the 4th result on DuckDuckGo images)

Took a little longer to find the original comic, where the wolf just says “dude”

I swear, I was just trying to write the name of the country! I didn’t know it only had one G!

I don’t and it’s irrelevant because the stupid attempt of hiding the word does not change with the skin colour of the person who made it.

          I’m gonna use a word I really shouldn’t use

Some people can in fact use this word. This sentence reads as if you know the person really shouldn’t be using it because you know their race isn’t allowed to, however, there is indeed a race that is allowed to and the original poster could very well belong to that.

The fact that you can’t understand how this could have been posted by one person uncensored, then screencapped by a second, then censored by a third, or even fourth person, fifth person, etc, is frankly just icing on the cake.

I really appreciate your analysis of what I can and can’t understand along with your obnoxious pendatry. Very valuable information, thank you. Now kindly fuck off.

Hmm, this implies that pig #1 built his house out of hydrogen…

I think this should be changed to “really dogg” because wolves might call each other dogg but could get offended if a pig said it.

Damn, never seen an xkcd where they used that kind of language! 😳

It‘s not original. The joke originated in xkcd 821 (Five Minute Comics Pt. 3), however it was a little different still. The wording (besides the slur) stems from xkcd creator Randall Munroe‘s book What if?.

If you compare the image to actual xkcds, you’ll notice, that the font is different.

Also, I found a picture of the comic from the book on pinterest.

Can’t have people think xkcds could be this tasteless.

Weird, why would someone rewrite a joke to land on the same punchline

I mean, the first rewrite (by Munroe himself) was probably just turning a 5min doodle into a clean, more streamlined comic.

The n-word one probably just to be edgy.

I can’t remember the # of the original, but I’m certain that’s not what it said. Randall wouldn’t use that, and that’s not his font.

Confirmed. The one ‘reference’ book I have on my desk. Page 3. The font and line layout is completely changed. The last sentence reads: “and the wolf was like, “dude.””

There is the question of how to remove the anaerobically decaying carcasses that keep piling up and filling the moat, however. The wolves stay away, but so does everybody else at this point.

You’d think the wolf would be satisfied after breaking into 79th pig’s house and stealing it all. It should cover being able to eat all sorts of meat for its whole lifetime.

Though I’d imagine it dying in 17th house in the first place.
