Lol the naive both sides bad take. It’s playing to audiences. Democrats govern really well for having so little power

I mean they are it’s just not as prevalent.

The Democrats do have a few “centrist” party members that basically just go against everything the majority goes for. There’s just not as many fully psychotic party members.

Yeah, I’m sure few people disagree with your take, but the image does make a point. Democrata are not the devil, but they should get their shit together

They do govern fine. The problem is honestly their refusal to play just a little bit dirty. It’s always the goddamn high road while the Republicans are waiting to ambush.

Nah the Dem party aren’t comically inept nihilists, they’re capitalists who profit off of the dysfunctional status quo.

So when is the US going to dump the winner takes all elections and those electoral colleges, and go to a system where people can actually vote on multiple parties that all get their fair share of political power?

This is obviously a shit system and now Republicans are actually talking about how a dictatorship under trump really really wouldn’t be that bad.

Fuck that shit, fix your democracy you dummies!

I hear the Electoral College isn’t even an accredited institution.

Single winner elections are the problem, because no single candidate or party can represent the will of the diverse electorate. So when you get rid of first past the post, which is a terrible system that absolutely must go, don’t just replace it with instant rumoff voting or star voting or whatever voting scheme continues to ignore everyone else.

      Proportional representation or bust.

I think I just saw this episode the other day. Wasn’t this the one where Bart gets an elephant? Named it Stampy. It rampaged through both of these conventions. The Republicans cheered for it and the Democrats booed it.

Replace “we can’t govern” with “we can’t get elected” lol

List the top 10 states by a few important metrics and it will be mostly blue states. Just don’t use metrics like “least people per square mile”, “most over represented in the senate”, or “least abortions per person”.
