    I think even testing for THC is horseshit.

    But assuming this happens in federal court, it seems very easy for the league to point to “this is classified by the government as a harmful substance with no medicinal benefit”. It’s great that they’re finally looking at rescheduling it, but even if they do, I don’t think that gives a lot of merit to a suit that claims it was inappropriate for the league to punish a player for a substance that the federal government formally considered as not being beneficial. Especially when the whole substance abuse policy is collectively bargained and not the league behaving unilaterally.
