Don’t underestimate how triggered some people are by the pronoun thing. I saw someone get totally irate over the fact that a public place had a single all-gender bathroom even though there were normally gendered bathrooms next to it, and the all-gender bathroom would have just been a “family” bathroom 20 years ago. People are getting triggered by the smallest things now.
Id rather 4 years of that over letting a dumbass unintelligent lazy bully and literal dictator run the country any day
They really shouldn’t be using Twitter anymore. Bluesky or Mastodon would be fine.
They go everywhere the people are - lots of people are still on Xitter.
If they went to threads, Bluesky, or their own lemmy server, ALL the news outlets would follow.
The problem is coordination. Honestly, celebrities should talk to each other, pick a platform, and all move there at once. It would pull tons of users over, generate publicity, and probably create momentum that would leave Twitter a dead right-wing echo chamber, which is all it should be.
I’m just saying that if POTUS directed the entire executive branch to use the Fediverse, the press would have to follow.

Yeah he’s always been a piece of trash that used his money to pay smart people for work he took personal credit for.
I didn’t notice it at first myself. But once he took over twitter and started talking about programming (something I have a lot of experience with) it became very clear he didn’t have any idea what he was saying.
Obviously I wouldn’t wish losing a child on anyone, but it doesn’t make him a good person in any way.

I’d like more options for EV, but no way I’m ever buying anything Tesla as long as he’s the face of that company. It’d be like buying a stupid red hat and walking around, except worse, because people are likely to key my car or throw a brick through the windshield since he’s so hated.
