Cool, 0.15% of his net worth. That’s like someone who makes $100k donating $150.

Ok…? You understand he’s donating, not signing up to fund her, yeah?

          I make 100k and haven’t donated $150. Am I a bad person?

I make $200k and only donated $100, so I’m technically worse.

I’ve donated to Bernie and somehow that has put me on every Dem’s begging list. I still get emails years later despite unsubscribing from fresh garbage every week. I will never give anyone another penny unless I am able to have some sort of guarantee they will fuck off after they get the money.

Did you donate more than .15% of your net worth? Does that make you a better party memeber?

.15% of an average person’s income is way different than .15% of a billionaire’s income. An average person will feel the loss of ~$100 more than a billionaire will feel the loss of their equivalent. Billionaires should not exist.

That said, I donated $100 so very close to, yeah. I can donate an extra $50 if that gets you to vote blue.

No one’s arguing that billionaires shouldn’t exist but you’re just bitching that someone didn’t contribute more money.

Also, I am voting Democrat down ticket. You’re assuming way too much about my politics based on a small exchange.

What we want is money out of politics. That’s the goal. But since that isn’t currently the situation, then until that happens it’s good for the non-fascist to get donations.

Additionally, if the point was to create a comparison to Elon, I would say it’s not a strong comparison. They are both rich and can give a lot of money to presidential campaigns. Elon musk is doing this while he greatly altered the election integrity team on his social media platform, and is using the social media platforms tools to make it harder for people to follow one of the candidates that he doesn’t like.

It seems you are ruining democracy by existing. I’m sorry your parents failed to raise a decent and intelligent person. What a waste.
