Meanwhile 51yo me dresses exactly the same as 15yo me. Literally. Misfits tee, shorts, cap and skate shoes. The main difference is that as a teen I used to main Airwalk shoes and now I wear Emerica.
Are they better? Because I don’t like the new styles of Airwalk. My checkered vans are about to fall apart so I need a new casual shoe.
New Airwalks are basically trash. I suspect that someone bought the IP and turned it into a discount brand.
I wear Emerica because foot is too wide for Vans and so far they have been solid. Good board feel, nice and neutral, good grip, and so far I haven’t had a pair become unglued.
That’s why my vans are falling apart. I’m going to give them a shot, thanks!
