Gentrifiers reportedly proved so popular with test audiences that it has already been spun off into several new series, including Christian Fundamentalists Do Home Stuff On A Farm and One For The Black Viewers.
Omfg I’ve got to remember to read the actual articles, that’s so incisive
Ouch. Am I part of the problem if I would un-ironically watch “Christian Fundamentalists Do Home Stuff On A Farm”.
This show could easily be achieved with simple narration changes (like interjecting basic science facts via narrator …) to any number of existing shows.
Can we get Diane Morgan to narrate it? Or Ron Howard?
I kind ofneed this, now.
This kindergarten teacher and her spouse who sells crystals on Etsy are looking to upgrade from their quiet 1 bed 1 bath town home. They want a 3 bedroom 2 bath near downtown. They have very limited budget of only 750k firm. Can our straight white gentrifiers find them their dream home on such a tight budget? Stay tuned
It’s not fair but don’t discount how much disposable income two white men in their thirties can pump into a house if they’re lucky enough to live somewhere where the intersections of privilege/discrimination line up just right to favour white men, but not discriminate against their homosexuality.
To be clear, it’s a good thing when they don’t face discrimination. Just how capitalism works on neighborhoods that make it shitty. You should be able to improve your neighborhood without disadvantaging your neighbours, present and future.
Reminds me of Flipanthrophy clip with Nathan Fielder https://youtu.be/lbg8lZ5hGDk?feature=shared
This is gold
God damn society is weird. For a second, I legit thought this was real, because in this world, sure…why WOULDN’T that be a thing? That’s where we are as a society. Parody is now realistic for reality.
