It’s a great makeup design but I can’t help but feel like someone as wealthy as Mason Verger would have been able to afford better plastic surgery than “Cabbage Patch doll from your nightmares.”
The book was written well before even partial face transplant surgery had been developed. There’s only so much you can do with random bits of skin!
I also think Verger kind of liked looking like a monster. He enjoyed frightening and disgusting people.
