    haha, happened to me:

its copper deficency by zink overload.-

without copper, there is multiple things that go wrong. but it takes time to deplete copper stores. zink always wins against copper, and meat is full of zink.

vitamin c d, and iron wont work without copper.

I did that because I develeoped grain allergy, and was insuline resistant.

I eat grains again, but sparingly.

went down from 95 kilos to 65.

    fun fact:

nobody talks about that. carnivore influencer dont, thats for sure.

            Food wise? Oh that’s easy.

Fats and salts, before agriculture and animal domestication, were hard to get a significant amount of in our diets, and the plants we foraged were usually much lower in starch and higher in fiber. Our bodies are geared to focus on these nutrient sources, so starches fats and salts taste really, really good.

Agriculture short circuited that focus as we produced and cultivated plants that were starchier, sugarier, and animals in general tripped our ‘mmmm delicious’ buttons much better than their uncultivated ancestors.

So basically it’s REALLY easy in our modern diets to get WAY too much starch, salt, and fat because our appetites are geared by millions of years of evolution but we have only been agricultural for a hundred thousand years at the very most and our biology hasn’t caught up.

So we take in a LOT more of the ‘good stuff’ that our body wants, and too much of anything is not good.

Hence the modern obesity epidemic and the rise of type 2 diabetes.

People like to whine it is a personal willpower problem, but it really isn’t.

It’s a food supply problem. 60% of the space in our grocery stores is just made up of various nutritionally empty configurations of starch, fat, and salt.

The word “carnivore influencer” just set me off haha.

It’s so fucking obvious is it that these people are paid by the meat industry.

Like, seriously. NOBODY has ever thought eating nothing but meat was a good idea until veganism became somewhat mainstream.

It’s reactionary bullshit to keep the profits coming.

I did that because of prediabetis, that worked. many people do it because they suffer. should have informed me about vitamins though. i did stop eating many vegtabls, because i suffered from migraines, and my skin burned, and my nose was always blocked. for that, it worked as well.

well, there is plenty folks from around earth that only eat meat. but they know what to eat ;-) and I think they eat fish as well.

You joke but it really is.

We are seeing the fallout of 2 world wars killing off so many fathers that the tradition of passing down male wisdom was broken, and was replaced by the ‘hollywood’ vision of masculinity, which is toxic af. Just look at how accepted slapping women was on film in the 40s-70s.

The modern chantard incel stereotype is a direct result of boys growing up with few positive male role models in their close circles and none of them having the generational wisdom of their great grandfathers to pass down.

Unfortunately, most people concerned with gender equality are so focused on dismantling the patriarchy that no one has a solid plan for re-establishing the positive male role model tradition.

All of the social signs are there, China experienced this problem several times during the Warring States period and identified the root as ‘bare branches’, men with no prospect for a marriage or future that would form bands of criminals that would go around raping and pillaging.

We are starting to see that a bit now with all of the white male mass shootings, and rape has always been a mostly invisible problem in our culture.

And it’s going to get much, much worse unless we can find a way to re-establish the value of the wholesome male role model. And if you see who the male role models the youngest generation are choosing (Logan Paul is a great example) you’ll be just as pessimistic about our immediate future as I am.

      2. The lime juice was meant as a cheaper alternative to lemon juice. And it wasn’t very effective, lmao. National militaries and sabotaging the health of their troops to save a buck - name a more iconic duo.

It was cheaper in the sense of they imported from limes from the Carribean and lemons from India, which with no Suez canal is a pretty big difference. And at the same time they invented steam power, shortening voyages so the reduced effectiveness wasn’t noticed until longer voyages due to newer military doctrines occurred again

Well, the reduced effectiveness was noticed. It created significant uncertainty, funny enough, over the actual causes of scurvy, since apparently citrus fruit wasn’t enough, until more rigorous studies happened in the 20th century.

The whole man flu thing is also goofy because I’m pretty sure I’ve read men typically avoid going to the doctor for things they absolutely should be going to the doctor over. Then again, it’s my understanding that doctors will blow off things women tell them so it’s just an overall shitty state of affairs.

I literally don’t believe that about testosterone and pain, and yes I looked up studies and they are there, you are correct. I think it’s probably cognitive priming affecting results, the idea men should be more resistant to pain so they do so, similar to how IQ tests cause discrepancies (See: Delusions of Gender by Cordelia Fine).

In my actual experience as a proDominatrix beating people, men with testosterone tolerate SIGNIFICANTLY less pain than estrogenized counterparts. And these are men in MMA and former military etc. They just can’t mentally handle agony the same for the most part. I don’t think they enjoy the sensate texture of pain like women subs do. Stuff that makes women moan and whimper makes men scream and yelp and jump back in shocked pain. And perhaps this has to do with cognitive priming relating to their perception of me; however I will say even pretransition subs follow this. A transwoman who has never taken hormones tolerates pain the same as a ciswoman in my experience. I think we force women to tolerate abuse automatically and they just tend to deal with it better, and enjoy playing with the sensation more. I also think women tend to be more skilled at empathy and tend to tolerate pain better when I’m feeling something strongly - I think they go on my emotional journey as a Domme to escape their emotional journey as a sub.

Re: cognitive priming - Look at all the videos of period cramp simulators - men have been cognitively primed to quit earlier and do quit most of the time while women chill and pokerface.

And I’ve had other Dom(mes) agree, including male Doms, about this. Women tolerate pain and violence more in real life settings, and also tend to request it more.

Now there are two distinct parameters of pain tolerance and maybe that’s where the study is confusing itself, because I don’t see clarity between these definitions. One is pain sensitivity, how much pain you actually feel. There is a woman in the UK with a lot of natural anandamide* who isn’t senstive to pain at all - but if she feels equivalent pain to another person for some reason, it’s possible she cannot tolerate it the same. Tolerating pain is different than how much pain we actually feel, but science has a hard time measuring these things. Perhaps testosterone does indeed help “numb” people to pain, but I still think women tolerate or endure actual pain sensation better.

Oh and PS cognitive priming is likely why men don’t go to the doctor as well

Excellent write up. I think there are different kinds of pain and we’d need to measure to account for that.

When I’m at the BDSM club the women generally want and can take more pain. (Some guys are totally insane though.)

When I’m in my gravel biking group it’s very much the opposite. The dudes will slide down 20 ft of gravel and their legs look like someone took a cheese grater to them. They have a laugh, hop back on the bike, and finish the ride with blood in their shoes. The ladies generally take a little spill and loose a little skin and they are crying and want help walking their bike back to the car. (Some chicks are hard as nails though.)

That makes more sense. Although I think the carnivore diet is stupid, most people that are doing it or similar diets eat organ meats, many of which contain sufficient vitamin C among many other important vitamins and minerals.

Eating chicken salad with a spoon every day seems like it would cause all kinds of dietary issues.
