Wow! This should be illegal. The claims are barely or not at all supported by the citations.

At best the SG is uneducated and mislead or actively malicious at worst. Most likely, I would guess this is politically motivated due to the upcoming election.

Is this like an official government department?

Yes, it is an official government website (ends in .gov) and that is some prime antivaxx bullshit aimed to discourage people from getting vaccinated.

This is actively malicous and will result in more deaths and people suffering from long term covid. I hope that there is a method for suing to get that pulled down and action taken against whoever had it put there as public health officials discouraging safe and effective practices should be illegal.

If that’s the case, this is some scary shit. Who’s responsible for approving this? It s probably newsworthy that an official government body would put this up as guidance.

No problem. Its hard to believe that people like this can hold office, and not get removed. But, freedum.

The current governor, Ron Desantis (if your familiar with him, it may explain a lot) has hit his term limit and cannot be reelected, but he won by a landslide last time, although, his opponent was considered to just be a poor candidate.

Well see how Floridians feel about it in 2026, I guess. Theres not much that can done now.

I’m sad that children will be harmed by this but I sure hope their retirement community that marched for Trump and included a guy that said “white power” to a camera is reading and following instructions. In fact, let’s pass out flyers.

I hope they don’t, and get vaccinated instead, because not getting a shit becausebof this misinformation will increase the overall spread.

“Florida department of health” needs to be in quotes.

If we want to get technical, I assume the “dept” part is also a delusion.

No way these goons can maintain the typical function of a basic office environment. I bet you half the time employees get there in the morning and nobody has unlocked the door and nobody has a key, water cooler has been empty for 8 months and the power just went off because the person that was supposed to pay that bill was arrested last week after being caught with an underage rape victim that they “mentor” in bible study… Again.

Yes the boosters are still being offered and people who care about catching or transmiting covid are getting them. If you are interested the current crop of boosters includes the most recent major variant that has been causing the spike. If you don’t have insurance your state or local government should have an access program if you want a booster.

Yes, and updated boosters recently came out in the United States. Got my booster 2 weeks ago and it went smoothly.

Yes. Unfortunately the optimal timing is different from flu so you should probably go twice rather than get both at once

Do you have a source on that? I asked about this recently when I got mine and was told there was no issue with getting both at once

        • @AA5B

Yes, there is no issue getting both at once, and it’s probably useless to try to time each for peak effectiveness. Nevertheless, I believe peak effectiveness for flu shot is about a month earlier than peak effectiveness for COViD

If you had anything useful to contribute I wouldn’t think twice about it, but you’re clearly just trying to pick a fight.

I dunno what you’re going through that’s got you in that mood, but I hope it clears up soon.

I’m happy to be a bit suboptimal and get vaccinated when convenient. I got my flu shot a week before school came back in session and my COVID shot a week later, because that’s when the new booster came out where I am. I’d have been happy to get them at the same time because better something suboptimal than nothing because you forgot or got busy.
