I understand where you’re coming from, but you are giving Trump way too much credit. Aside from all of his “I was only joking” non-apologies after making some horrendous and unforgivable statement, the only kind of humor he has ever attempted is to make fun of the misfortunes of others. It is a joke. It’s just easier to make the opponent be “the dumb guy” 100% of the time. I see an article “slamming” him every two weeks for something that is an obvious joke.
