This is proof of inflation over time. Decades ago at the time of publication the phrase must have been “10 dollars is 10 dollars”.
Then that poor kid ended up in Vietnam where he could find someone to “love him long time” for “two dollah!”
I wonder what that works to in today’s dollars? Otherwise, it seems like it’d be a good deal.
