    If memory serves, the first version of the administration used “acting” department heads with some regularity.

    If they are “acting,” there isn’t a confirmation hearing because no one has yet been nominated to fill the role.

    I sure as shit hope so, given that Gaetz resigned his position in the House, but somehow I suspect he’ll still be voted in and that he wasn’t going to resign unless he knew beforehand he had the votes for confirmation.

      It would be so funny if Trump got him to resign and then pulls the nomination. Gaetz being the first one under the bus this time is totally fine with me.
