I do love how Clock King’s power is basically just weaponised autism. Memorising train timetables and factoring in expected delays to services to properly time his getaway in the middle of a fight is pretty iconic tbh.

I just use the Transit app, but, then again, I’m not fighting (nor fleeing) Batman.

    There is, variously:

    1. Multiple Lazarus pits that are likely leaking into the water supply.
    2. The other magic resurrection place, Slaughter Swamp.
    3. A evil bat god (Barbatos) sealed in Gotham.
    4. The Hell portal under the Asylum.
    5. The Court of Owls secretly Illuminati’ing the place up.
    6. Dr. Gotham, an evil warlock who was sealed under Gotham for millennia, radiating evil.
    7. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was more then one company dumping shit into the water supply just to dodge having to pay to dispose of it properly, but compared to magical evil of varying degrees, it’s kind of a non-starter on the “This is why folks are nutso” chart.

Regarding item 7, Batman Returns had Christopher Walken’s character illegally dumping toxic waste, so yeah, there’s at least one known case.

A Hell portal? So unlimited free heat energy? Gotham could be generating free power for everyone just off steam turbines. What kind of mismanaged bullshit city is this?

In how many universes has Lex been president? I remember as a kid there was one where he won the presidency and had the flash executed. Superman responds by going full authoritarian and executing him in return.

Not to mention the half-dozen times the Joker tried to poison Gotham by putting Joker Toxin in the water supply

Lol I like the thought that even though we see Batman stop Joker hundreds of times, one time Joker really did succeed and as a prank just put a smidge of toxin into the supply.

Dick Grayson has the uncanny ability to stay friends, often with benefits, with all of his ex-girlfriends. I wouldn’t be surprised if Tim had more girlfriends in total, but Dick managed more at the same time.

Last time this was posted a comic nerd gave a speech about how the…ummm…whatever pools contaminating shit. I never could get into comics but I like when nerds explain them.

Joker has put joker serum in the water, scarecrow put fear toxin in the water, i cant remember for sure but i think there is either a lazarus pit under gotham or an actual demonic entity.

In addition, after harvey got dented, gothams last hope became batman. And hes not really the rehabilitation and reintegration type, moreso the “beat you so bad you cant afford your medical bills even in a fictional comic” type

People are just tired of Batman’s sanctimonious bullshit. Fucking invest your billions in the city and get all the other wealthy fucks to do the same. Turn Gotham into a utopia of opportunity and learning. Create a period of Renaissance. You have thousands of millions of dollars.

Most crime is a function of economic disparity, not intrinsic human nature.

WaynePFASdumping ltd. & its subsidiaries created most villains, just so that the rich kid can have his silly little (totally non-furry) hobby.

What are the lives of an entire city compared to the whims of the elite?

That doesn’t explain it, Gotham has been doing crazy shit since before pfa were really a problem.

My theory is that the Wayne family originally made their money like any other organized crime family, utilities.

I propose that the Wayne family committed a historic amount of fraud in the early 20th century by installing cheap lead piping throughout the city’s water supply.

The Wayne parents knew the family secret but were killed in a vengeance plot. By the time Bruce found out, he had already been drinking the leaded water for years, so his solution of personal violence was also batshit crazy.

Imo the Batman is a crazy fail son that is doing his best to avoid a Purdue pharma like class action lawsuit. Driving him to become more and more violent towards the citizens he is trying to “save”.
