I originally got the solo 2 in late 2019 and then got a dynavap M 2020. After that I realized I wanted to use a bong with my dyna so I got a BB9. I used those for a while and they did me great but ended up getting the Arizer EQ.
Since I got that about a year and a half ago I haven’t got anything new. I think I have all the necessities when it comes to my use. I feel like I am one of the lucky ones (or unlucky) who had not been clutched by it!
My son took me took me to a head shop on my birthday in about 2019. I spun a wheel, won a discount, and bought a pax2.
mflb, probably around 2007\8
I always forget about this one. I used the mflb around 2013-2015. It was amazing and so fun to use. Might just have to buy one now just cause. Love that little thing
What a cult classic. Still quite a potent vaporizer even in today’s market.
Built a floodlamp/hurricane globe conduction vape from home depot parts back in '03, maybe. It worked, but not well enough to ignite the fire. Back in 2017 or so I wound up buying a battery powered vape (a gpen I think) which also failed to impress.
In 2019 I bought a dynavap on the rec from an internet stranger and it was the first real device I found that worked WELL.
I started making custom parts and offering anodization. One thing led to another and soon I’m releasing full artisan vapes, DIY vapes, customized artwork, accessories, and setting industry trends with a group of very intelligent colleagues. I’m even branching out into other industries (started screwing with keebs) and am now publishing a lot of my design work for others to enjoy in addition to the big open source contribs to the Vape community. The HLT and ATM are both still very popular and sell well!
It has been a wild ride so far and there is more work yet to be done… I still get VAS but I am more on the “supply” side of VAS now!
I don’t have VAS (yet) but I’ve just recently converted to a Dynavap and I’ve gotta ask what are your thoughts on the BB stems vs the M?
Friend introduced me to his Pax1 vaporizer at a lunch meeting one day. The concept blew me away - a stealthy battery powered device to get medicated.
Went out bought a Davinci Ascent online as it was one of the most expensive and fancy portables on the market at the time (Storz & Bickle only sold desktops, and the only real competition was the MFLB and Solo1). What a mistake I made - that Ascent was one of the worst devices on the market at that price point hahaha.
Alas, the mods I made for that device kick-started my business selling accessories for vaporizers. Then I started getting flooded with requests to make various mods for all sorts of devices. And that’s how VAS started for me.
These days I have many devices in my library (both working, and dead devices only good for test-fitting widgets), and I’ve handled literally countless vaporizers (lost count around four dozen lol).
By this point I don’t need to buy new vaporizers… aside from getting popular units to test-fit new products for the market. It’s honestly hard to justify buying a new vape for my own personal needs because I just have literally so many.
Hell I have a Pax2 I bought a few years back for size-testing that I still haven’t even used once lol
I thought my vas is cured, but Phase3 zx and the Dani vapes hit me so hard I will always buy and try anything from both companies
Buyin vapes since ~2018, starting with a flowermate, mighty, dynavap (multiple after the first m), and many more
Edit: listing vapes sounded too much like bragging
MFLB in 2019. Got a desktop rig now with a B0. Think I’m settled in for awhile.
Bought the vaponic as my first vape when I was like 17, then a mflb when I was 19 or 20. Used the mflb regularly but still continued smoking as main means of consumption. Then I bought a Dyna in 2018 and fully switched to vaping. That really kicked it off for me, now I own like 10+ different vapes and a few extra Dyna setups, aswell as a few different glass options and all kinds of adapters and shit. Most of which I bought between '18 and '21.
I picked up a Pax 2 in late 2019 because I wanted some sort of dry herb vape since I was exclusively using edibles prior. After a few months, I found myself underwhelmed by the Pax and was looking for something better/stronger. That led me down the rabbit hole of researching options, then to the subreddit, Discord groups, etc. And thus, VAS was born. Although by this point my VAS is essentially dead as I have all the vape options that I wanted. There hasn’t been much new things coming out that have tempted my wallet or offered something new/different enough for me to want to cop.
Mine started with an Atmos Vicod 5g in about 2017
