As a lifelong Bears fan, Pete seems far too competent for the job.

As much as i love what he did in seattle, especially after Mora, i’m not super confident in his ability to adapt to the nfl anymore. He remained doggedly set on keeping the seahawks from changing. Btt he got fired, most of us, i think, saw the need for that.

But itd be awesome to see that crazy 70+ yr old running around on the sideline, chomping the shit out his gum.

Pete would absolutely improve this Bears team, no doubt. His ceiling these days is an early playoff exit I’m afraid. The NFL has evolved beyond his ability to adapt.

If the Bears want a Superbowl window within Caleb Williams’ rookie contract (the easiest time for a team to make it seems to be while their QB is on a small contract), then Pete is not the right move. I would be Ben Johnson or bust if I was the Bears FO.

I think this is a job for Lion’s OC Ben Johnson for the taking. An elite young QB with a fairly solid roster on both sides. He needs to get a decent DC and this is a nice project for a 1st time HC.

As a Vikings’ fan, great. He’s a tad bit overrated, IMHO.

Still coaching at 73 years old? Good for him I guess.
