    2025?

Feels more like Season 5 of 2017 in the US.

OK, 2024 WAS GREAT FOR ME. I got a cool job that gives me good pay and time off. I found the antidepressants that not only work on me but my whole family. I feel so full of energy I’d tackle the world.

May as well bump it to 2029 at this point (in the US anyway). Things sure as heck aren’t getting better for anyone who isn’t a wealthy fascist for the next 4 years.

I think to be fair you can write most of 20 and 21 off because of covid.

I can supply excuses for other periods if you like.

Honestly, it was better than what the future looks like it’s going to be like. (Although we never know what’s going to happen, so hope might be an option still.)

It was pretty rough for our house. Really rough. My city could get nuked and it wouldn’t be a whole lot worse.

Such an optimistic person, always thinking the future is gonna be brighter than the year before. Thanks for sharing the joy

If I make it through 2025, then I would start believing in a greater power.

2015 - 2016 was rough… 2017 was really good, 2018-2019 were pretty awful especially the latter.

2020 was pretty decent all in all, fun year, lots of change and variety, but 2021 was better, one of the more chill comfy years. 2022 was not good, 2023 was better, and 2024 was all around great despite the bad news.

2020 was hell, I got like eight days off and I had COVID twice that year. The first bout was after the vaccine was available but I wasn’t eligible because I was two years too young. It didn’t matter that I’m immuno-compromised. I barely got through that. A friend of mine shot himself because he couldn’t deal with it, he kept going to the emergency room and they kept sending him home.

My second bout with COVID that year after getting vaccinated was even worse. It was at least a month and I’m not at at all suicidal but I thought I wasn’t going to make it. I run a small nonprofit and we are still around for now, we’ll see in another few months. Nothing has been the same economically since then. I’ve tested positive four more times since then, and I don’t even test every time I get sick. I guess I’m still alive, I’ll try to be thankful.

Oof man. I’m so sorry, that’s rough.

I’ve had to deal with similar things on a lesser degree in 2018, wouldn’t wish it on anyone, but what you’ve gone through does sound like genuine hell, and you’re one hell of a soldier for making it through, not to mention being able to talk about it like this to strangers on the internet, you’re amazing.

I hope you can get to a better place one day and that you have a good support network, this is heavy shit, a burden shared is a burden halved and all that. Hope 2025 gives you a break. Good luck!

2023 was my personal best year ever. I hope that in the afterlife I can relive 2023 over and over.
