Yeah, right, maybe more like $7000 for that pristine beauty unless this picture was taken in 1992.

A local car dealership sells most of their cars for around $5000, and they look better than this. Sometimes I can find a gem there with only 168k miles.

This would be a collector or enthusiast car now, which is why I say it’s more valuable.

It may not look like much to the untrained eye, but the body and paint look pristine even though this thing is roughly 40 years old. The only flaw I see is the little corner of the quarter panel near the bumper that looks rusted out. It’s just dusty and dated looking which is why you might think it’s not worth much, but there aren’t many examples of these left out there on the road.

And I’m saying this car is worth significantly more than that since it is now a classic and in pretty good shape.

A $700 car in current time (if they still existed) would be some clapped out Nissan Sentra from 2006 with a salvage title and 6 previous owners not a 40 year old domestic with clean paint and a straight body.

Using the blinker is giving information to the enemy!

I love it when people use their signal when no one is around them then don’t use it when shoving themselves in front of you.

Related are the people who won’t let you merge on because they aren’t in front of you… Then proceed to take the exit lane you’re trying to merge off of.

Omg, I was thinking of that also. When they race around you, shove themselves in front, then take the next exit. Wtf? Are these toddlers behind the wheel?

I’ve driven in places where putting on a blinker would cause the cars next to you to speed up and close the gaps. If you wanted to get over, you couldn’t let anyone know until it was too late for them to stop you.

I knew someone who didn’t use a blinker and this was their justification, and I’m like my guy you’re in Seattle now; people will drive dangerously in order to let you merge when they really shouldn’t!

I’m glad I’m not crazy! Coming from Texas, the many times I’ve driven in and around Seattle, they are 100% like this. People slowing down to well under the speed limit to allow merging, and the almost 0% of speeding is so foreign to me. I feel like everyone there is dangerously polite while driving.

I hate when someone stops in traffic to let me out of a parking lot or to let me turn left across their lane. You have right of way! Being polite isn’t worth driving dangerously!

If im doing 75, i dont care what my relative position to another car is, just let me do 75 in front or behind you. Dont keep changing your speed

Now that I have an EV, those situations are just amusing. Joe redneck puts the hammer down, you hear a big rackets as things rattle and bang until the vehicle starts going a little faster …… then when I’m tired of watching the show I zoom forward with ease in effortless quiet

In LA, using a blinker triggers this behavior. In Chicago, not using a blinker gets you hit. City driving cultures are weird.

My 1991 S10 Blazer had one too. I think it helps to keep the back window clear by channeling air toward it. Interestingly, products like RainX won’t work on old bricks like this or the pre-1990s trucks because the flat front directs air over the cab and not the windshield.

It (the car) cost $700, so the driver is unconcerned about damage as a result of an accident while merging. Lots of people on the road have this weird bully complex and actively prevent people from merging into their lane because they have faith that all the other drivers on the road care enough about their cars to not want to risk damaging them in a game of chicken. That really only applies to people who paid a lot of money for their cars and are hoping to retain some of that value for when they go to resell it.

Basically, the bumper sticker is warning people that if he starts to merge, he doesn’t care if you speed up to close the gap in traffic, he’s going to keep going and you’ll probably the the one who loses money on the repair bill.

Even worse, chances are really good they have minimal insurance coverage. Even if they’re established as at fault, their insurance won’t cover repairs to most vehicles

Technically, the law does say that your blinker is a request & it’s up to the other drivers to let you in, otherwise you have to wait until there are no drivers in the lane you’re merging into.

When your driving a lot of the time people’s won’t respect you and just trust that you will actively avoid accidents.

This guy is saying he doesn’t give a fuck about his car, so that people will know not play chicken with him if they value their cars.

The title makes perfect sense. “This blinker” is referring to the turn signal directly beneath the sticker. The title is expressing that OP is inferring from the sticker that when the driver of that car puts on a turn signal to merge, they are going to go whether they are allowed in or not.
