Yes, Canada’s Liberal party is pretty much equivalent to the US Democratic party in many ways.

It’s always weirded me out people acted like he was progressive.
A lot of people were hopeful, and a lot of people wanted him to seem progressive, so they could lean further right with less pushback.
It always weirded me out how people just repeated Russian propaganda.
