Summary

House Democrats have scheduled an emergency caucus meeting on Wednesday to address Trump’s federal spending freeze, which halts grants, loans, and outlays affecting schools, hospitals, and nonprofits.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries criticized the freeze as “illegal” and announced a three-part counteroffensive involving appropriations, litigation, and communication strategies.

Democrats accuse Trump of diverting taxpayer funds to finance GOP tax cuts at the expense of working-class programs.

The sweeping scope of the freeze has drawn criticism from both Democrats and some Republicans for its potential harm to public services.

Did they really not read Project 2025? Why didn’t they figure this shit out in November and have a strategy ready to go?

This is why people end up supporting Republicans: they want to do heinous shit, but at least they hit the ground running with it while Democrats sit on their asses looking dumbfounded.

I’m perpetually amazed that they never seem to even consider contingencies. No matter how much Republicans telegraph their next move, it’s still a surprise. The party and politicians take in so much money and still treat running the country as a hobby.

The majority of Democrats are manufactured opposition, bought and paid for by the same oligarchs as all the R’s. Bernie, AOC, and a few % of real ones can’t save you from hundreds of corporate whores.

It’s been this way for decades, and “liberals” still aren’t getting it, even as the empire crumbles around them and the fascist dictatorship is implemented.

It’s not a surprise, but if they act like it is, they can pretend that they’re just as shocked as we are when it happens! We’re all in this together! Ignore the fact that most policies that benefit the rich will benefit members of the DNC, so they have less of an incentive to actually DO anything.

You know what, you’re right! The R’s are getting shit done, they’re executing their dream. It’s evil but they’re achieving their goals, unlike the D’s who don’t have a bigger plan, no vision and no execution. That’s the one thing I respect about the R’s. Their efficiency - fucking everything up in days. I mean it’s kind of impressive. I thought it would take us at least 6 months to get here. Boy o boy did I underestimate.

Remember Drump said he had never heard of 2025. The media protected and insulated him from dealing with reality. You want to blame someone but it is clear you are blaming the wrong people.

Dishonesty is the Hallmark of the 21st Century I suppose. It is sad seeing people defend it though.

Almost as if Dems and all their little bootlickers like PugJesus are complicit, and outright accomplices, in fascism.

Weird how reality has a 100% success rate of proving the leftists were correct all along, since the invention of Marxism-Leninism.

But do try again, liberals. Maybe you’ll get em this time.

Step one: stop calling them tax cuts and call them ehat they are, tax increases. When something like 95% of the us will have taxes go up, its a tax increase. Stopnframing things from the perspective of the rich

The Neolibs who are funded by billionaires blocked leftist policies to maintain power, but for some reason don’t have an issue with losing control forever to a fascist dictatorship.

    Hmmmmmm i wonder why they don’t care about fascism… Rich donors… Hmmmmmmmm…

To do what? … figure out how to disagree while trying not to upset or negatively affect their political wealthy owners?
