It’s probably time we admit cars that are a bit too useful as weapons to continue affording them the vast uncritical access they currently enjoy in our built environments.

Cars don’t belong in city centres.

There’s a fair bit of controversy about this here in my locale, insomuch the comment sections (don’t breathe these) are lighting up about an old jorno complaining about pedestrian areas

      https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/24928732.former-t-journalist-mike-priestley-critical-new-look-bradford/

Again, pro-tip, don’t visit the comment section on that rag but it pisses me off that I can’t even insure/use my escoot still riding into those “pedestrian” areas without threat of 6 points / fine / confiscation. Fucking utter bollocks

edit: man, the censorship on that Newsquest (quest muh arse) article/comments is currently at 12 out of 51 visible unless you visit via /new. Pepperidge farm remembers that Reddit does this for mods viewing modqueues too

I disagree with the wording of the title, but as a policy I leave all article titles unchanged. Let it serve as an example of how the media bail out vehicular violence through their reporting.

It’s already getting beaten by China so hard that it’s questionable whether they should even continue at this point.

I hope he’s AfD. At least it might convince a few more people that they are dangerous crazies.

It was a 24 year old man from Afghanistan.

Germany is now almost guaranteed to have a far-right majority after the next election

The attacker is an Afghan who came to Germany as a refugee and wasn’t legally allowed to stay anymore, but wasn’t deported.

The attack targeted a labor union and there are children among the victims.

This will push everyone but hardcore leftists further to the right.

The last times AfD people did this, they still blamed foreigners. They’ll never accept it.

They may not. Some who sympathize with them may change their mind.

It’s hard to know what’s inside people’s heads or why they might change their vote.

Well, I’m talking about the people I know & who have told me what’s inside their heads

Unless you know what’s inside the heads of every voter who might vote for them, I don’t think that’s relevant. However, it turns out it was an Afghani immigrant anyway, so it doesn’t matter.

Instead of backing into the hypothetical possibility, why don’t you share any evidence that this is happening?
