I think mine is either the abra line because they can teleport. But then there is the muscly machop line. And then there is Dragonite… Aurgh. Gen 1 in the 90’s was my first game.

Charizard, because he’s a badass orange and red Pokemon and orange is my favorite color.

Red was my first one, I would later get blue and yellow.

Haunter is my favourite, my first pokemon game was gold. I had friends with blue red and yellow but we were to poor when i was younger and only got a game boy when they were cheap as the advanced had come out.

It was Christmas day and my mum bought my sister and I gameboy colours, she got a harry potter game and i got spyro the dragon for GBA.

No one in my family understood why my game was so small and didn’t fit, they were after all both game boy games. Was a really shitty Christmas with a gameboy I couldn’t play whilr my sister had a greay time. The next day we went to the shops and i saw the pokemon game and was set on kt from the cartoons.

Then my older sister made me name my character Ash and i had to play it her way until her birthday the next july when she got silver and i was finally able to play for myself

Ah, memories of being a Centrelink kid in the 90’s. I was lucky enough to have an older brother who’d saved up a bit of money, found a Gameboy at Cash Converters going cheap, and he didn’t mind me using it.

We had a Game Gear, too, because we won one from a game rental store that had a free raffle as part of it’s grand opening, and we were the only ones who showed up!

        Yeah good old centerlink haha.

Now I’m a successful diesel mechanic and my favourite shirt is a Centrelink living the dream shirt

Pokemon Blue for me. Alakazam. Had to train up this no-attack Abra thing, then find someone else with this “pokemon” game and a link cable to trade your Kadabra with. Very rewarding experience.

I remember teaching it all the elemental punches and feeling like a boss as I used super effective techniques all day long.

Arcanine, cuz he’s the bestest boy. First game was Blue when it came out. I remember knocking out one of the legendary birds and having no idea it was gone until I restarted the game. Also, Wrap was way OP.

Cubone for lore, Haunter for aesthetic. I’ve also been onboard since gen 1.

Nidoking. Forever and always. Its cry is etched into my memory. I love how intimidating and badass it looks, which is also reflected in the show.

Either Dragonair or Articuno. Something about that majestic but superpowerful air they excude.

My first game I ever played was Red, at a friend’s house. He was at the Indigo Plateau already and instructed my to just use Thunder with his Zapdos. I had no clue what I was doing, I was 6 or so at the time.

After that I begged my parents for a Gameboy Color. It was only later that I found out my grandma still had two original Gameboys from my older British cousins. I only needed Pokémon. Nevertheless, I used the Gameboy Color a lot, my sister also got one. I got Blue as a gift, that game has no secrets to me anymore. I explored every corner in the game, but also explored the glitches like Missingno.

After that I saved up to buy Silver since a friend of mine had Gold. My sister still owns her GBC and my copy of Silver. The battery of the cartridge is dead, though.

Vulpix. I love foxes and it’s just so damn cute. I’m more of a water or ice kind of person, though, so it being a fire-type was always a little disappointing. Imagine my glee when the Alolan form showed up!

Eevee is a very close second place, but there are honestly so many great designs in Gen 1: the eeveelutions, Bulbasaur, Farfetch’d, Sandshrew, Oddish, Staryu, Articuno, Arcanine…

My first Pokemon game was actually Silver, though, as I didn’t have any handheld systems before then.

If there’s only one sign that I’m actually a greymuzzle, let it be the fact that I barely kept up with Pokémon beyond Gen 1, heh. Gen 1 is the only gen as far as I’m concerned!

Lapras and Rapidash were my faves. I also rather like Cubone/Marowak.

Pokémon Red on the Game Boy was my first game! Actually I played it on the Game Boy Pocket and then the Game Boy Color. I remember getting super excited about Pokémon Snap on the N64.

    Dragonite!

My favorite Gen 1 pokemon! Really great design, fun and just really cute! I’m also biased I like Dragons too.

My first pokemon game was Crystal. I though lost that copy years ago.
