    This affixed to a wall with a little bit of light shining through it so that it casts a shadow. Spinning nice and slowly. Maybe a decorative industrial catwalk or two. Mmmmm

    I play rain noise during the winter and just leave the bedroom window open most nights during summer and the leaves rustling is a good replacement.

    I usually have a fan on at night. I like the noise. Also, the HVAC vent points at our bed so it’s on/off, hot/cold all night and the fan helps.

      I also like the noise, though it can be surprisingly difficult to find a noisy fan. So many advertise how quiet they are, which is the opposite of what I want.

        I have found that there is a very small window between “too quiet” and “too loud”

        I need just enough noise to kill the background noise, without it becoming foreground noise. My ceiling fan on medium speed is just about perfect.

    there’s a hilarious superstition in Korea that sleeping with fan on and windows, door closed will suffocate you
