As a kid i only saw openly practicing nazi’s in movies like American History X or Indiana Jones. I never saw the crazy shit your seeing now like with a black suited man in the Whitehouse high on ketamine behaving like a nazi. Not to say I didn’t see crazy shit, just this ones a new one for me.

I don’t have kids, but my cat thinks he deserves a turd in his shoe.

They don’t know who he is. They think his trucks look dumb. And that’s not even something they learned from us parents.

@[email protected] my kids (8 and 11) play “fuck elon”. It’s slugbug for cybertucks. We don’t encourage profanity, but don’t punish them when they use it appropriately. This seems VERY appropriate.

    I asked them for you.

8yo said: “Horrible.” 10yo said: “Elongated Muskrat” and didn’t elaborate.

lol I don’t think I could make up what the 10 year old said. Their minds work differently than my millennial brain. But we have been talking about the Nazi stuff a bit which is a little tricky because they haven’t studied it in school yet.

Elongated Muskrat is a name that’s been circulating for a while. Nothing to do with Millenial brain.

Youngest just turned 18, they all three used to like Tesla and Space X, now they think he’s a transphobic asshole.

They don’t seem to understand his influence on the country though, like he’s just a joke

My niblings, being four years old at most, are blissfully unaware of his existence.

The ones old enough to be aware of him are aware of the standard “we don’t take money from, or give money to billionaires” advice - for their own protection.

In addition, I’ve encouraged my kids not to stand too close to anyone who spends too much time doing “fuck around”, just in case that’s the day that person reaches “find out”, and there’s collateral damage.

I’m not a mom at the time of saying this. The closest I get to being one is being a childrearing aid to a pair of twins. They are young, innocent, and without those political passions yet (I don’t blame them), so I’m guessing Musk comes off as a passing circumstance to them, but at one point that one diplomatic meeting was airing and they asked if “that strange guy” (Elon Musk) was breaking the rules because he wasn’t “wearing his school uniform” (i.e. he wasn’t wearing a suit like everyone else). Probably the only thing they understood of it all, but it speaks a bit about what is starting to develop.
