in germany we’ve got double baked bread (zwieback)

apparently its main purpose is a long shelf life but it has a really nice sweet taste and it’s also good for digestion when you’ve got a pissy stomach that doesn’t want to hold onto food
we’ve also got bread baked for 16 hours (pumpernickel)

it’s also got a sweet and unique taste, and it’s a really nice bread to use as a general healthier alternative to white bread

Now fry some dark bread in oil and add garlic. You can also add cheese, mixed with mayonnaise. It’s a snack that goes well with beer.
