This was amazing, this was in 2009? How was this ever picked up? This needs to be pitched again. This is like The Office, meets, Its Always Sunny, meets Arrested Development.

Brooklyn 99 Isn’t copaganda. In fact they directly address some of the ways that cops abuse their positions.
Yeah, the cops on that show are better than regular cops… they address those things… and that might make you think that some of those that work forces - are just like your good little parasocial friends on the show!

Is not really a rebuttal to it being Copaganda. That’s how propaganda works, it gives you a better version of reality.
You may not have seen season 8. That’s when they really lean into the “bad apples” fallacy
I would say it is more complicated than that. They show the whole set of characters as trying to do their best to be nice and good, which does give a wrong idea of what cops are. But they do try to address some problems as well, so it’s not so clearly one or the other.
