Aren’t they hibernating at this season? This could be very disruptive.
Flying foxes are active year-round as they usually live in tropical and subtropical environments. Small, insect-eating bats would indeed be hibernating and could die if disrupted during that period.
I will also add that this pic was taken earlier in the year, I am not exactly sure when.
