Having just Whole Food Plant-Based meals and food items is not hard and with such tasty it is not really any sacrifice, so since this is healthier, and not contributing to animal slaughter and the captivity and abuse with that, and use of more resources with the waste and great harm to environments, why not?

OP, here’s a 2025 umbrella review and meta-analysis regarding dairy consumption and risk of cardiovascular and bone health outcomes in adults. It concludes as follows:

This review suggests that dairy consumption, particularly milk and yogurt, is modestly associated with reduced cardiovascular risk, while dairy intake appears to benefit BMD and fracture prevention. However, further research is needed to confirm these associations.

(Note: Before you say “B-but it said further research is needed!!”, literally fucking everything in nutritional science says that because it’s true. Nevertheless, this includes 33 meta-analyses and blows “27 studies I’m sure exist” completely out of the water.)

Unless you’re willing to front us a decent meta-analysis (instead of just a low-effort post from some random website called “Nutrition Raw” which vaguely cites “27 studies” without including even a single decent one of those), please do not post medical information here. Per Lemmy.World Rule 8.1 (and per common fucking sense), you can jeopardize real people’s health by sharing unsourced medical information you can’t back up, and spreading easily disprovable bullshit is the fastest way to poison the well of real health benefits as also being deluded/lying/ignorant vegans trying to trick people.

The health benefits of a whole foods plant-based diet are a side benefit to veganism, not the reason we practice it. If you want to spread the real health benefits of a plant-based diet with proper sourcing, it’s welcomed here with open arms. If you have to mislead people about health or post extremely dubious information as a cheap, expedient way to get people into veganism or reaffirm your belief system, you can do it somewhere else, but not here.

I’m sorry, vegan here, but the sources for these? You can’t be dropping memes without sources, we aren’t medieval people here.

Would you please cite a source for this? I would love to share a source with people.
