Surely it entirely depends on the game? I can get 4k/60fps on the steam deck for some games, others can barely get 30fps on minimum settings.
Surely a claim like that should mean that’s the performance of the majority of popular games on the device?
How do you define the majority of popular games though? You could probably cherry pick a definition that proved anything!
“10 most sold games last year”
Of course it’s necessarily cherry picked but it doesn’t mean it cannot be representative
Most sold isn’t most popular though, don’t the currently-played charts always include old, free, low-requirements games like Counter Strike?
Don’t forget Stardew Valley and Factorio
4k60fps gaming, but limiting basically everything by default to only 1080p is basically false advertising.
1080p low with FSR4 haha
Honestly listing only resolution and framerate is dumb because there’s just a cornucopia of information that’s omitted. If you want to give people an idea of performance, just throw up some specs for a handful of the most popular games or don’t advertise anything.
I don’t want one of these, because I have a computer that’s far better, but also it depends on what you play. 99% of what I play would probably be fine even at 4k60fps. Sure, if you want to play a AAA game from the past 5, maybe 10, years, it’s not going to happen. Most indies probably will, especially 2D or light 3D ones.
I’m disappointed in Valve making the same mistake as Sony did.
I realize editorializing titles is frowned upon but if you could please just remove the clickbait from your title, that’d be So Sick.
WTF? Those specs aren’t even good enough for QHD for any semi demanding game!
Yeah, I do 4k gaming and have a beast of a rig, and even then I barely get it up there. Cyberpunk still struggles years later.
I hear u with cyberpunk.
What a way to shoot yourself in the foot in the first place…
