I’ve only gotten conflicting information on lasers destroying cameras.

You are far more likely to blind an innocent person, don’t do it. They require too strong of a laser and you are going to be pointing it at reflective glass. There are easier, cheaper, safer ways.

Is this the “don’t do it” kind of “don’t do it” or the same kind of “don’t do it” as in the OP?

Don’t permanently blind innocent people. Lasers are no joke.

Strong enough laser and you need a phd to even see the product catalogue.

okay, but what if they are not innocent?

let him who is without sin cast the first beam?

And where does that land us?

Gloriously beaming at each other while squinting. No, we must not give into the desires of the photon.

As this is lasers, I’d assume the “don’t fucking do it” kind, since there’s always a chance of serious injury.

You’re far more likely to destroy your own eyes. A lot of old laser scientists have permanent vision damage the way woodworkers have missing fingers.

Since i damaged a smartphone camera with a laser i can tell you, the damage are small black holes where the laser was visible. It would take loads of effort to destroy it in a significant amount. You would have to run (fly) around and shine from every angle.

The sunglasses won’t do shit against modern facial recognition, let alone gait and ear recognition.

Or just like, the most popular overear headphones sold in your area with socks balled up under your heel.

Simply release spiders near the pole. Orbweeving spiders love the camera heat and will naturally want to live there and block the view.

Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) are AI-powered cameras that capture and analyze images of all passing vehicles, storing details like your car’s location, date, and time. They also capture your car’s make, model, color, and identifying features such as dents, roof racks, and bumper stickers, often turning these into searchable data points. These cameras collect data on millions of vehicles—regardless of whether the driver is suspected of a crime. While these systems can be useful for tracking stolen cars or wanted individuals, they are mostly used to track the movements of innocent people.
