The representatives, the strategists, the marketing campaign…

On some fronts I am sure it would have a competitive edge over human parties. The question is who the owner would be.

Well there was a Black Mirror episode along those lines which resulted in a worldwide fascist hellscape, so there’s certainly at least one billionaire funding it right now.

Years ago we used to hypothesize that an ai governance was the only way to be equitable to everyone. Now it just turns out it does the same thing as any market-worshipping crackhead.

Guess that’s fortunate for the mush brained lardball who’s using prompts to write policy though

That’s because it’s not “real” ai as depicted in fiction, just a very expensive imitation that sometimes kinda works

Eh, neural networks as they exist now are close enough it’s safe to assume. Our brains work pretty similarly with clusters of information and calling on them selectively based on their assigned value.

I go as far as to classify a person using an ai tool as part of its neural network, if they’re making decisions and affecting the world as a result of using the tool.

This will be Elon Musk’s next scam. The Grok Party. And all the Musk fanbois will be tripping over their out-stretched tongues to rave about it.

People really think men have made a virtual conscious being, and all because of good marketing. 😭

I think at least one country in the world will have elected at least one political party openly run by AI within the next 10-20 years.

People will grow increasingly angry over politicians inaction regarding people being replaced by AI, so they will vote for the party that will replace politicians with AI as revenge.

    Probably be some European country.

US will settle with an AI Trump as a facade for the Republican Party just to keep MAGA going.

I wonder wether it would be constitutional to have an AI run as a party though. I think if it happens it’ll probably be a human running for election, who will secretly delegate all decisions to AI, to skirt around this

Probably depends on the country, but it’s easily solvable with meat proxy until constitution changes.

Humans are inherently flawed. Even the best ones are biased, emotional, irrational and easily manipulated. My (perhaps) unpopular opinion is that politics will never run like a well-oiled machine that treats everyone fairly for as long as they’re run by people.

A truly benign, aligned and independent AGI system is the only thing I can even imagine that could at least in theory offer the kind of governing system we actually need. And I truly mean an independent agent with our well-being as the guiding principle. Not one with an inbuilt bias toward who made it.

Now, whether that’ll ever be actually possible is a different story but the “best case scenario” for a human-run government and an AI-run government are light-years apart.
