I once read a uh comic that uh explored this theory
Sonic x cartoon was airing when I was and kid and for a while I though tails was a girl. Not sure how long it took me till I realized tails was a boy. I’m also not sure how much it has with me eventually becoming trans.
Sonic is actually FtN post op.
So that’s why it writes “Sonic has passed” when you finish a level…

Apparently they (accidentally) made Sonic aro/ace after all the Ken Penders shenanigans.
God damnit, Ken!
Not only he took the echidna characters, he also made it icky to officially ship Sonic with anyone.
