    I would not call it an Easter egg, it’s part of the world building.

    The game series is known to make gross exaggerations of real world facts, topics, things and acting. Racism against particular groups of people has been and is part of the real world, and as such a videogame that wants to criticize by exaggeration would need to do it with this part too.

        If GTA were consistent with this satire, then the cops would have accidentally kept their Klansmen and/or skinhead outfits on before going to a black neighborhood…

      In GTA V, some NPCs will call the cops on you just because you stand near them for too long. I am guessing it happened to people while playing as Franklin and made them think racism is actually coded in the game.

        Interesting. I never experienced that. Infact come to think of it when I played the NPCs were very lenient. I could knock out someone in a crowd of people and nothing would happen. But a second person is the line in most “crimes”… except hitting a cop car.
