Imagine he comes back and blows his knee for the second time in a year?

      *Blows his Achilles

He didn’t injure his knee. His Achilles snapped pushing off the concrete they call a field.

Why would he rush back this year? What is the possible upside?

I was thinking about this earlier. if the Jets are in position to win out from that point and make the playoffs, that’s technically a reason to rush back.

personally, I think he wants to do it to do it. it’s the competitive side of him, or maybe just ego. but nobody else can say their ACL snapped during the regular season, and they made it back to play before the regular season is over. he wants to do it to show how amazing he is, simply put.

Probably trying to save his job. It’s fair for the jets to get rid of him. There is a chance he’ll just get re injured and jets will never recoup their investment. Therefore he may be trying to to play to show he’s still in it. None of it makes any sense.

How much guaranteed money and cap hit does he have? It may not make sense to get rid of him from that standpoint.

“Next week” sounds so close that there must be some real feeling that it is close, like its not “at some point in December”. But considering how Joe Burrow looked on a bum calf I don’t think we can really expect the real Aaron Rodgers experience if he comes back this year.

He should be telling the owner to replace the damn field, not rushing to snap his Achilles again.
