The Orville is a show that sounds awful when you first hear about it but is legitimately one of the best sci-fi comedies of the past few decades. Sad to see it go, especially with how much of a passion project it seemed for Seth MacFarlane
I think that the passion as much as its needed sounds like the problem.
If he brought on some writers that could follow his vision or preserve the vision and write himself out of the show, its an excellent show and I hope there wouldnt be a drop in quality but if the alternative is that it gets cancelled…
Also, he seems to think “passion project” is code for “cast my current bang-bro as a ‘main’ character for a season”…

A fan from the beginning, I really do hope it continues. The move to Hulu got many more fans introduced to the crew, and I’d hate to see the show end on such a fantastic third season.
