The Cowboys snapped a 5-game losing streak and are 4-7 after winning Sunday. Mike McCarthy is in the final season of a 5-year contract.

He’s not the root, but I think he’s hit the ceiling in Dallas, and it’s only gonna get harder. I may be memeing a bit by saying it’s crazy to extend him cause I think it’s hilarious when the Cowboys fail, but I think he’s about at his ceiling with Cowboys performance over the last few seasons, and this is indication of his floor.

I don’t see anything really mattering in Dallas unless Jerry takes a back seat. The ceiling is a team that loses in the first couple rounds of the playoffs for Dallas without that change.

Hard agree there. Dude is a random citizen trying to land a 747 and the pilots are fully conscious, but won’t tell him no lol

Hiring guys nobody can respect like McCarthy are the problem Jerry is, though.

McCarthy might just be a symptom of Jerry, but his rosters have pretty consistently had the pieces that a coach who isn’t a trainwreck to be a hell of a lot better than anything they’ve done with McCarthy.

I don’t know I think he’s a big problem there. One of the biggest problems I see with the Cowboys is lack of consistency and lack of effort at times. Those are both 100% on the head coach. Sure maybe not the biggest because you know Jerry, but pretty freaking close. Certainly I don’t think they can win with them so what’s the point in keeping him?
