A lot of people are really tribialized around gender/sexuality which is especially crazy because both are made up social constructs and no matter the number of categories we invent, not everyone will fit in cleanly.
But for a lot of people, anyone that touches one of their in groups, automatically because someone above reproach.
Because they share an in-group, everything is fine. Anyone that doesn’t share an in group though, is treated as “them”.
It’s a very dangerous social phenomena, and online communities where all users share a type of in group experience it to some extent. When the Admins actively encourage that attitude, it scares off or changes everyone who doesnt.
