          I’ve always wondered why LCARS panels have all that current running to them. It’s like they were invented by Doc Brown, who just defaults to 1.21 gigawatts for everything, on a visit to the 24th century.

      Especially the little squares of it they wedged under the seats to keep them from wobbling.

    Why don’t they install fuzes in-between the power source and the control panels? It would certainly have saved a lot of lives.

      Explosives are installed in command consoles so they are the first to die in a conflict. Keeps commanders from being trigger happy.

      I seem to recall there is a whole lot of details around this on another post somewhere out there in the universe. Hopefully a better mind can point to it.
