    Donald Trump did this.

Because he’s a sucker and has an orbit of selfish traitors.

For those not in the know: Donald Trump did this by trying to extort Ukraine to “find shit on Biden” in exchange for weapons, which is why he was impeached the first time.

He also just general signaled to Putin he really doesn’t care about honoring US alliances with his demands and general disregard for the importance of NATO.

Almost like the west isnt funding them the way they are supposed to. To anyone in the US, this is why you need a democratic majority in the house. Russia has already called Ukraine a stepping stone multiple times, but US news is a awash with nothing but news on Gaza and israel despite the US policy on israel being unfortunately decided for 70 years now. So instead of pressuring our govt to act on Ukraine, we have protestors wasting their effort on the wrong genocide, one which the US was never going to stop, and is much smaller in scale. Its a dismal way of looking at things, but it is not incorrect.

Protesting against genocide is never a waste of effort. Following your logic, Ukraine is a lost cause because Russia is determined to invade it and US congress is too divided to stop it anyway, so no one should care.

You’re not following his logic. He puts priority on the bigger genocide. And posits that there are too many Zionists in USA, so it’s much more hopeless to stop Israel support fast, might as well continue with the big fish.

The situation in Palestine is a one-sided slaughter, with a million Palestinians on the verge of starvation. There is no stopping Russia quickly either, unless maybe if you propose direct US military participation, and even then that may not put a swift end to things.

Stopping Russia is about just sending ammunition and supplies to Ukraine, they will fight for themselves, but they might run out of bullets at this rate (literally the current state of affairs).

USA openly and cozily supports Israel with deep rooted Zionism, you cant change this quick it would appear, and is what my two comments and the other guy is saying.

Gaza strip is 0.5mil, Ukraine is 38mil. Russia doing another Holodomor is entirely real and possible.

But haven’t you heard? The US has already committed LITERAL BILLIONS to Ukraine, and what did it get us? Nothing! Just imagine if that money would’ve been spent here! We could have spent it on schools Some poor CEO could’ve had fat bonuses! Maybe we could’ve cancelled the medical debt of 100 people We could’ve spent more on covering up environmental damage without doing anything against the companies that caused that damage.

I tell you, if we wouldn’t have spent that money on Ukraine, we could’ve medicare for all, student loan forgiveness, functioning infrastructure and a sane republican party. But because we spent those billions on Ukraine, sadly, we had to budget a little and got none of the above. If only we still had that money, all of our woes would be over!

        sigh

We didnt spend billions on Ukraine. We donate old arms worth billions that were due to be phased out anyway to Ukraine. Crappy media reporting has really done on number on everyone who believes otherwise. And guess what? That weaponry was doing the trick. As predicted, giving Ukraine an absolute fuckload of our outdated shit is held russia back.

But sure. Lets let Poland, Finland, and Lithuania fall next -___-

To be fair, Israel is killing way more civilians than Russia is.

The u.s has killed more civilians than both combine. That’s why I roll my eyes at Americans suddenly taking the moral high ground, not against their own atrocities, but that of others. It’s easy for Americans to be outraged at other nations committing crimes when they ignore their own. My people were killed and used as target practice by Americans, and I don’t remember a single soldier being disciplined for it.

That’s why I hate how full of bullshit morals Americans are

There are attacks on info outlets as well, bots are mass reporting Ukranian youtube channels that have been reporting on the war, getting them perma banned despite Youtube basically acknowledging to the owners that it’s bot spam.

If Ukraine lost it wouldn’t just be a massive blow to Ukraine itself, it would severely undermine the credibility of NATO countries and western allies generally.

The population of Ukraine is 38 million people. Putin would march every damn one of those Ukrainian civilians in as meat waves invading other countries and not care one damn.

Also, just because Ukraine loses the traditional war, doesn’t mean that the fighting will stop.
Also also, what greater threat to european peace and stability is there than a bunch of former allies, who are battle-hardened, traumatized, right next to EU borders and are feeling betrayed by their ‘western partners’?
A russia-funded network of right-wing parties, aimed at breaking up the european union, recently invigorated by their success of stopping a unified response to russia’s invasion.

Any country not in NATO is at risk. Russia wouldn’t invade a NATO country. They’d get shit stomped and honestly probably have to resort to a nuclear weapon.

I think the West would cut the head off the snake pretty quickly if Russia invaded a NATO country though.

Assuming you’re talking about the Ukrainian people in some kind of Guerilla warfare, I think they’d be more likely to focus their efforts on Russia (the ones that actually did the attacking, raping, and bombing) vs the west that just “didn’t do enough”

It pisses me off to no end that war is seen as a fucking “game.” This isn’t fucking Pokemon where you “win” and you keep my cards.

The fact that the entire world just accepts that when you “win” a war you keep the land you took is beyond insanity… The entire world should be united against anyone who does this. There needs to be a collective NO.

    But C.R.E.A.M… so we can’t.

Well it eventually becomes difficult in the long term. I doubt the sanctions would be resolved any time soon but at a certain point unless your willing to go to war— which if we weren’t willing to supply probably won’t happen— you should eventually normalize relations once everyone who was involved in the war is dead.
